Student Outcomes

  • Adequate knowledge of the topics in mathematics, physical sciences and related engineering discipline; the ability to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas in complex engineering problems.
  • Ability to detect, define, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems; ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modelling methods for this purpose. 
  • Ability to design a complex system, process, device or product to meet specific requirements under realistic constraints and conditions; ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
  • Ability to develop, select and use modern techniques and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in engineering applications; ability to use informatics technologies effectively.
  • Ability to design and conduct experiments, collect data, analyse and interpret results for investigating complex engineering problems or discipline-specific research topics.
  • Ability to work effectively in disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams; ability to work individually.
  • Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; ability to access information, to follow developments in science and technology, and to continuously renew her/himself.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Turkish, both orally and in writing; at least one foreign language knowledge; ability to write effective reports and understand written reports, to prepare design and production reports, to make effective presentations, to give and get clear and understandable instructions.
  • Acting in accordance with ethical principles, awareness of professional and ethical responsibility; knowledge about the standards used in engineering applications.
  • Knowledge about universal and social effects of engineering practices on health, environment and safety, and the problems of the age reflected in the engineering field; awareness of the legal consequences of engineering solutions.
